Elise's Digital Art Journey
About me...
Hello friends!
My name is Elise, I’m a junior transfer student with a major in Strategic Communication and a minor in Art Practices. I grew up in Longmont, Colorado, a city just 20 minutes northeast from Boulder. My main interests include playing sports, creating art, going to the gym, being outside, and spending time with friends and family.
Although I enjoy creating art in many forms, my focus is photography. I started taking photos in a photography class I took in middle school. From there, my passion blossomed. I continued taking photos as a hobby and started a photography Instagram account along the way. Now, it’s still a hobby, but one I’m very passionate about and I want to develop it into something more than just a hobby.
This is me :)
Beside photography, I’ve been exploring with many different forms of art ever since I was in elementary school. Being creative is something that I’ve always enjoyed. I took many art classes throughout elementary school and high school. More recently, I’ve taken Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, 2D, and 3D art classes. Between all of these classes, I’ve had well-rounded exploration with many different art forms. On this thread, I’ve posted some of my favorite pieces I created in those classes, as well as some of my photography.
To create this, I poured plaster into a mold I created with my own hand. I used wire to create the rings on the hand and the flower.
I took this photo in Moab during spring break 2022.
I created this during the spring 2022 semester. The project was to choose an object that doesn't have a skeletal structure and to create one for it. I carved it out of foam and then painted it with acrylic. Be careful when you bite into this peep!

I’m in digital art to continue to explore my interest in…well…digital art. Graphic design has always intrigued me, so I wanted to continue to learn more about the digital art realm. I’m hoping this class will help give me direction in whether I’d want to expand into digital art/graphic design.
I look forward to the rest of the semester and to seeing all the fantastic art that is created!
